This beautiful guitar was specially made for us by Leo Scala. It weighs just 7.90 lbs. Solid one-piece mahogany body with a hand carved 5A Private Collection flamed maple top. One-piece mahogany long tenon set-neck, with a nut width of 1 11/16 inches, a wonderful thick profile and a scale length of 24 3/4 inches. Brazilian rosewood fretboard with 22 medium-jumbo frets and inlaid gold mother-of-pearl trapezoid (crown) position markers. The top of the guitar has single natural 'flamed' binding. Headstock with onlaid metal "Scala" logo and metal bell-shaped 'slotted' truss-rod cover with a single screw. Individual Grover 'Rotomatic' tuners with bell-shaped metal buttons. Serial number stamped in blind on the back of the headstock. The bass side of the top has several unique sound-holes and the back of the guitar has two 'slotted' stainless-steel sound plates. One Arcane 1957 Experience 'Bass' humbucking pickup in the neck position and one Arcane 1957 Experience 'Treble' humbucking pickup in the bridge position. Cream plastic pickup surrounds. Two controls (one volume, one tone) on lower treble bout plus three-way pickup selector switch. Gold plastic barrel-shaped "Speed" knobs. ABR-1 style Tune-O-Matic bridge with metal saddles and combination "wrap-over" bar bridge/stud tailpiece. This fine guitar is in mint (9.50) condition and is complete with Leo Scala's special certificate of authenticity. Housed in the original G & G six-latch, shaped black 'Western' hardshell case with brown plush lining (9.50).
