This 'new old stock' 2007 Martin 000X Hippie Limited Edition guitar is a unique collectible that celebrates the vibrant spirit of the 1960s. Designed by Martin's CEO Chris Martin and artist Don Oriolo of Felix the Cat fame, pays homage to the “Summer of Love” with psychedelic graphics and symbols of peace, flowers, and harmony on the guitar's top and headstock. The 15 1/4 inch wide, 4 inch deep body has a high-pressure laminate (HPL) construction giving the guitar durability without sacrificing resonance. The body features a striking yellow and orange color scheme, evoking 1960s counterculture aesthetics. Strataply neck with a modified low-profile shape, 25.4" scale, 14 frets and a medium profile. Micarta fretboard and Bridge. Gotoh “Cosmo Black” Tuners with oval metal buttons. Inside the sound hole, the end of the neck has the serial number "1255285" stamped in blind and the Limited Edition Series label with OOOX Hippie "49" of "200". This guitar is in mint as new (9.50) condition. Housed in the original Martin three-latch, yellow shaped hardshell 'Durahyde' case with orange plush lining (9.50). This guitar not only embodies Martin's commitment to craftsmanship but also stands as a symbol of peace and artistic freedom. Issued to commemorate the 40th Anniversary of the "Summer Of Love". C. F. Martin and Don Oriolo of Felix the Cat collaborated on this colorful guitar celebrating the hippie era. All 200 instruments were quickly sold after their July 2007 release.
