This 'lightweight' PRS McCarty Hollowbody weighs just 5.20 lbs. Thirteen inch wide, 1 5/8 deep PRS-shape offset asymmetrical double cutaway thinline body with two 'f' holes. Two-piece flamed maple top, two piece flamed maple back and translucent maple sides. One-piece mahogany glued-in neck with a nut width of just over 1 11/16 inches, a scale length of 25.00 inches and a very fast thin-to-medium profile. Single-action truss rod. Back angled three-on-a-side non veneered headstock with gold decal PRS signature logo. Back of headstock with serial number "9 43211 / 10" written in gold pen. Single-layer black plastic truss-rod cover with "McCarty" stamped in gold and secured by one screw. Individual Schaller/PRS 'Rotamatic' tuners with half-moon ebony buttons. Ten inch radiused Indian rosewood fretboard with Abalone 'bird' inlays and 22 jumbo frets. One PRS 'McCarty Archtop Bass' Humbucker in the neck position and one PRS 'McCarty Archtop Treble' Humbucker in the bridge position with outputs of 6.25k and 7.00k respectively. One volume control, one tone control and a three-way pickup selector switch. Black plastic barrel-shape "Speed" control knobs. PRS 'wrap-over', pre-compensated 'stud' bridge/tailpiece. All hardware nickel-plated. Inside the neck pickup cavity (on the neck tenon)  written in black marker is "42,311 Turquoise / HB2 "10" W/Trans. Sides" and two small circular labels, one blue with "AB" in prple marker and the other white with "8.4 / PM". This amazing guitar is in mint as new (9.50) condition. Housed in the original three-latch, rectangular black hardshell case with black leather ends and black plush lining (9.25).

This guitar has the optional Flamed maple "10" top, Abalone bird-inlays and wide-thin neck.

This original PRS McCarty Hollowbody guitar was in production from 1998-2000. The guitar featured a "one-piece mahogany wide-fat set-neck, Indian rosewood fingerboard, moon inlays, 22 frets, "McCarthy" on truss-rod cover, Signature logo on headstock, chrome-plated tuners, ebony tuner buttons. Hollow mahogany PRS-shape medium-deep body. Spruce top with two 'f' holes; vintage natural finish (original satin, changed to gloss in 1999). Two humbuckers (McCarthy Archtop Treble and McCarty Archtop Bass) with nickel-plated covers. Two controls (volume, tone) plus three-way toggle pickup selector. Nickel-plated PRS stop-tail.
