Rare Brian May "Prototype"
This rare Brian May "Prototype" weighs 7.20 lbs. and has a nut width of just under 1 11/16 inches and a scale length of 24 3/4 inches. Solid mahogany body, one-piece rosewood neck, and rosewood fretboard with 22 jumbo frets and inlaid pearl dot position markers. Blackface headstock with inlaid pearl "Guild" logo and script "B H M" on truss-rod cover. Serial number ("BHP00013") and "Made in U.S.A." stamped on the back of the headstock. Individual Kluson-style Deluxe tuners with oval metal buttons. Three single-coil Seymour Duncan "Brian May" pickups with outputs of 6.22k, 6.43k, and 6.16k. Pickups with labels on the underside: "NM BM NM." Five-layer (black/white/black/white/black) plastic pickguard. Two controls (one volume, one tone) plus five-way pickup selector switch, all on the treble side of the pickguard. Black plastic bell-shaped "Bell" knobs with white markings. Guild combination "wrap-over" bridge/tailpiece with special adjustment for the "B" and the "G" string. This guitar is in mint (9.50) condition. Housed in the original Guild brown hardshell case with maroon plush lining (9.50).
