An All Original Sixties Epiphone Olympic.

This early 1967 and very light guitar weighs just 6.00 lbs. Asymmetrical double cutaway, one-piece solid mahogany body and one-piece mahogany neck with a rosewood fretboard, 22 original jumbo frets and pearl dot inlays. Front of headstock with silkscreened gold "Epiphone" and bell shaped truss-rod cover with "E" engraved in white and twop screws. Serial number "309771" stamped in black on back of headstock. Six-in-a-row 'double-line' Kluson Deluxe tuners with white plastic oval buttons. The scale length is the standard Gibson 24 3/4 inches and the nut width is just over 1 9/16 inches. One Melody Maker single-coii pickup with an output of 7.03k. Single-layer white plastic pickguard with inlaid silver Epiphone 'Epsilon' and eight screws. Two controls (one volume, one tone) and jack socket, all on pickguard. Black plastic ribbed-sided knobs with metal tops with red markings. The potentiometers are stamped "137 6630" (CTS, July 1966). Combination ridged "wrap-over" bridge, factory Epiphone Maestro Vibrola tailpiece with 'walrus-tooth' tremolo arm. There is some guitar cord 'burn' on the back of the body where the guitar has sat for some time on the cord inside its case. There are a few other areas of surface loss but overall this is a superb unfaded, and totally original example in excellent plus (8.75) condition. Housed in a later three-latch black hardhell case with green plush lining (9.25).

According to a 1965 Epiphone price, list this guitar sold for $189.50.
