Solid mahogany body, one-piece mahogany neck with a very fast thin profile. Rosewood fretboard with 22 medium jumbo frets and inlaid pearl dot position markers. Narrow headstock with gold silk-screened "Epiphone" logo which reads upside-down to player. Open-back Kluson Deluxe strip tuners with white plastic oval buttons. Serial number "95213" stamped in black on back of headstock. One Gibson Melody Maker-style single-coil pickup (with no visible poles) in an oblong black housing and with an output of 7.01k. Gold plastic bell-shaped knobs with metal tops. Combination "wrap-over" bridge/tailpiece. The top of the guitar has some light finish checking and there are a couple of small surface marks on the edges, the most noticeable being on the bass horn. Even allowing for the aforementioned, this fine little guitar is in exceptionally fine (9.00) condition. Housed in the original Epiphone gray and black softshell case with blue felt lining (9.00).
The Olympic was introduced in 1960 as a single cutaway solid body. In 1962 it became a symmetrical double cutaway and then In 1963, the body shape was slightly changed once again to an asymmetrical double cutaway body with upper bass horn slightly longer than treble horn.
