This super lightweight 16-inch-wide, 1 3/4 inch deep, thinline body guitar weighs just 5.70 lbs. and has a nice, fat nut width of 1 11/16 inches and a standard Gibson scale length of 24 3/4 inches. Headstock with metal Epiphone logo plate. Three-layer (black/white/black) plastic truss-rod cover. Individual single-line Kluson Deluxe tuners with white plastic oval buttons, each one stamped on the underside "D-169400 / Patent No." Two Epiphone mini-humbucker pickups with black plastic surrounds and outputs of 6.87k and 7.40k. The neck pickup ring is stamped "MR 495-1" and the bridge pickup ring is stamped "MR 496-1" (both on the underside).Tortoiseshell celluloid pickguard with silver epsilon. Four controls (two volume, two tone) on lower treble bout plus three-way pickup selector switch on upper bass bout. Gold plastic bell-shaped knobs with metal tops. ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge and trapeze tailpiece with three horizontal lines on cross-bar. All hardware nickel-plated. Light blue rectangular printed paper label inside the bass f-hole with the model number "Sorrento D Nat / E451 TDN" typed in black and the serial number "A-4245" stamped in black (the 'A' is in black ink). Inside the treble 'f' hole is the FON number "X5641 27" stamped in blue. The silver 'epsilon' on the tortoiseshell pickguard is a little worn otherwise this fifty-nine year old blond beauty is in mint as new (9.50) condition with no visible playing wear on the frets or fretboard. Complete with the original Epiphone 'Sorrento Double Natural E451-TDN' eight-page hang tag with matching serial number and the original two-piece, black leather guitar strap. Housed in the original Epiphone five-latch, shaped, dark gray and tan hardshell case with dark blue plush lining (9.25). This 'one owner' guitar was purchased new in 1961, played very occasionally and then kept 'under the bed' since 1965. A wonderful opportunity to own a mint as new sixty year old Epiphone 'thinline' electric guitar.

A prime example, in the rarest color, of Epiphone's version of the Gibson's ES-225TD (which went out of production in 1958).The Sorrento is similar in body style to but has the more deluxe features of mini humbuckers and an ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge.
