A Very Unusual Fender Custom Shop Esquire

2015 Fender Custom Shop Limited Edition "Esquire" Relic with Fender Custom Shop Wide Range Humbucker.

This amazing and very unusual little guitar weighs just 6.90 lbs. and features a single cutaway, ash body with a custom 'Nocaster' nitrocellulose finish. Huge one-piece, highly figured birds-eye maple neck with a nut width of just over 1 5/8 inches and a super-thick 'U' shape profile very similar to a 1950 Broadcaster or a 1953 Telecaster/Esquire. Standard Telecaster scale length of 25 1/2 inches with 21 medium jumbo frets and black dot position markers. Headstock decal with Fender "Esquire" 'Spaghetti' logo in gold with black trim. Single "butterfly" string tree. Individual Fender Deluxe tuners with oval metal buttons. "Fender Custom Shop Limited Edition" decal in black on back of headstock. Four-bolt neck plate stamped with serial Number "CZ 521915", "Limited Edition" and "Fender Custom Shop". Fender Custom Shop Wide Range Humbucker in the bridge position with a huge output of 13.77k. Metal pickup surround with two height-adjustable screws, secured to body with four screws. Two controls (one volume, one tone), chrome control knobs with lightly-domed tops and heavily knurled sides. Combination 'Hard-Tail Stratocaster' style combined six saddle bridge/tailpiece. This guitar is in 'as new', but lightly relic'd (9.50) condition and is housed in its original Fender G & G Custom Shop, three-latch rectangular tweed hardshell case with red plush lining (9.50). Complete with all of the Fender Custom Shop case-candy including black leather guitar strap.

This very limited run Fender Custom Shop Esquire is an authentic and faithful reproduction of one of Fender’s first workhorse guitars - but with a Fender Custom Shop Wide Range Humbucker instead of the usual angles single-coil pickup. Its lightweight ash body and highly figured birds-eye maple neck features a 'light relic' Nitro/lacquer finish that imparts the look of a lightly used early fifties guitar.
